    Title: Manager. Inventory Management

    Reports to: Executive Director, Operations

     

    Summary: 

    The Manager of Inventory Management will direct and manage all inventory management needs to help Too Faced achieve its distribution and financial goals. They will oversee and manage warehouse cycle count programs to maintain inventory integrity of our third party logistics distribution center (3PL). The Manager will be responsible for reviewing warehouse levels in conjunction with sales and marketing forecasts to determine production needs.  The position will work closely with corporate sales, marketing and finance to monitor inventory trends and manage quarterly errors and omissions.

     

    This position is based out of the Too Faced Corporate Office located in Irvine, CA.

    THIS IS HOW YOU WORK IT:

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the tracking of inventory levels, retailer sell thru and sales and marketing forecasts to determine production schedules and timelines.
    • Coordinate all inventory movement from shipping point to 3PL warehouses and Free Standing Stores (FSS). This includes creating destination allocation and tracking containers status to ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet expected monthly shipping commitments.
    • Partner closely with our 3PL Warehouses and FSS to maintain up-to-the-minute accurate inventory levels of components and finished goods.
    • Ensure the correct supply signal to the Plants, through accurate master file data, and close collaboration with Demand Planning. Prepare for and participate in weekly Supply / Demand Review meetings with Demand Planning.
    • Ensure the escalation of any exception in inventory, sales orders, and gross margin to appropriate stakeholders while providing proactive solutions.
    • Manage, plan and control the tracking of all inventory purchase orders for finished goods, supplies and parts.
    • Work with sales to review monthly sell thru reports by retailer versus items shipped by customers to identify potential issues.
    • Communicate with sales and customer service discontinued items and work with team to develop plans for selling these items (kits, discounts, etc.).
    • Manage and oversee the yearend inventory audit to ensure warehouse is completing an accurate physical inventory. Report all physical inventory results and discrepancies.
    • Manage non-shippable inventory. Develop procedures to track and communicate disposition to warehouse staff.
    • Proactively partner with sales on new product launch allocations. Verify quantities and ensure new launch will have adequate inventory.
    • Oversee and distribute daily/weekly reports (as needed) for communication of inventory levels to internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with demand planning to create and maintain monthly forecasts for shipments by retailer.
    • Create, maintain and implement an efficient cycle count program to ensure integrity and meet internal audit requirements.
    • Responsible for the Return to Vendor (RTV) process executed at 3PLs, including product disposition (i.e. destruction, return to stock), returns tracking, and warehouse processing performance. Collaborate with Finance on RTV financial reconciliation and customer RTV compliance.
    • Support and foster growth and professional development of the inventory team. Must thrive in an environment of providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to their team to drive engagement and productivity.

    Qualifications & Skills Desired:

    • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business Operations or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
    • Preferably 6+ years’ of relevant work experience and 4+ years’ of management experience, in supply chain management and/or business planning, showing progressive development and increasing responsibilities.
    • Must have prior ERP system knowledge (AX and/or SAP preferred)
    • Demonstrated expertise in forecasting inventory management and import/export practices.
    • Must have strong problem solving, analytical, negotiation and communication skills with ability to generate and translate analytical data into successful inventory management programs and forecasting models.
    • Proven track record of leading teams to produce accurate forecasts and plans is required.
    • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel specifically).
