    National Trainer DACH-NL- Germany

    Reporting to:  Head of Training EMEA


    Job Summary

    The National Trainer is responsible for leading the field education and execution strategy in DACH-NL Region.  They are responsible for ensuring a consistent brand experience at point of sale that meets/exceeds company sales and service standards.  This will be accomplished with leading new executive on-boarding and seasonal trainings, retail account trainings, services training, in-store development, and special events.


    Key Responsabilities

    Leads Territory Education Strategy and Execution

    • Works with the Country Manager & Team Coordinator to determine seasonal territory objectives, priorities and goals (Superstar business, seasonal launches, new account openings, counters and special events)

    • Communicates seasonal education plan to counter Business Manager and Regional Make-up Specialist

    • Provides on-going individual and group coaching to German team to ensure the execution of point of sale initiatives

    • Provide in-store modules that maximize consultant engagement, expertise and sell-through (including but not limited to services, basic, seasonal and promotional business goals)

    • Responds to and communicates education needs and results in DACH-NL to the HT, CM & TC

    Manages Retail Training Administration and Execution

    • Responsible for educating retail accounts to improve sell through via regional classes and/or on-site training

    • Build strong relationship with key education influencers to negotiate optimum education opportunities

    • Executes trainings that embody the brand experience as well as improve sell through

    Leads New Hire Orientation

    • Works with the CM & TC to develop an orientation plan for all new team members which focuses on the brand experience at the point of sale, product knowledge, and artistry expertise

    • Leads strategies to develop a strong emotional connection with new and existing representatives in open-sell environments and counters



    Special Events

    • Support planned retail events such as Personal Appearances and Master Classes


    • Complete and submit all requests for information within time schedule (monthly schedule, expense report, training and gratis requests, training recaps)

    • Complete and submit expense reports on time each month

    Other Special Projects:

    • Participate in the writing and creation of education content, as requested

    • Provides ongoing feedback, insights and ideas to the corporate education team on programs, products, retail/field needs and competitive activity

    • Leads special projects as requested by the corporate education department

    • Assist Head of Training EMEA with large scale trainings and/or multiple trainings that occur on the same date at different Markets if required

    Office and Travel:

    • This position requires up to 80% travel

    • This employee is required to work from a home office and have the ability to travel between account locations

    • This position allows for 1 office day/week




    • Douglas/Sephora experience

    • Cosmetics experience

    • Computer literate (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook)

    • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment

    • Good communication, writing, and interpersonal skills

    • Able to work independently

    • Able to travel within a designated territory

    • Dedicated and detail oriented

    • Self-starter with willingness to work hands-on
