    The Manager, Product Innovation is responsible for all phases of new product development and product reformulation processes from concept to consumer within Too Faced Cosmetics. This individual must be innovative and creative with a keen awareness of global color and industry trends. This position requires a solid understanding of product development fundamentals with an expertise in prestige color cosmetics along with the ability to apply strategic thinking throughout ideation and conceptualization.


    This position is based in Too Faced Corporate Headquarters located in Irvine, CA.


    • Partner closely with the Chief Creative Officer, VP, Product Development, and Executive Director, Product Innovation, on concepting and design; collaborate in product development meetings – present new products, present reworks of formulas and components, brainstorming new ideas; be on the pulse of trends and innnovation
    • Translate industry and color trends into viable product concepts to align with seasonal strategies along with developing the pipeline for future products
    • Create and develop innovative new product textures, shades, and esthetics with high quality that are relevant to our brand DNA while meeting the global market’s needs
    • Manage on-going formula development and new product innovations in the color cosmetics category
    • Recommend new ingredient stories, product textures and new product development opportunities by obtaining the latest innovations and information on formula/texture/ingredient newness
    • Lead internal communication with cross-functional partners as it relates to product briefs, formula evaluation, copy and claims, artwork and regulatory deliverables
    • Collaborate with packaging design on product concepts and design
    • Oversee the evaluation and direction of shade and formula submissions from lab to production with the leadership team and Chief Creative Officer
    • Monitor and maintain on-time delivery of critical project milestones
    • Capable to brief vendors on COG targets and timing to suppliers for bulk/fill/assembly and request quotation based on estimated forecast and MOQs
    • Manage the internal consumer tests with internal and “Artist” test panels where feedback is collected and used to optimize formulations
    • Collaborate with the Director, Quality Assurance and the Manager, Production Compliance, to stay abreast of regulatory changes and requirements, including ingredient regulations and international regulatory standards
    • Partner with the Executive Director of Global Education on product training guidelines


    • Minimum 6+ years color prestige color cosmetics product development experience
    • Passionate about the beauty industry
    • Demonstrated skills with project management and knowledge of new product development lifecycle
    • Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes and quickly adapts to change in priorities
    • Proven ability to take complicated information and summarize the key messages for a variety of audiences
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often-changing, collaborative environment
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,  with exceptional interpersonal skills
