Reports to:

Field Sales Director (FSD)

Executive Director, National Field Sales

Vice President, Global Sales and Education

Dotted line responsibility to the Director, Education & Development and Corporate Sales Directors (CSD)

 

TERRITORY:  Dallas

 

OVERVIEW: The ideal candidate possesses full scope expertise in training, artistry, event planning & execution, business analysis, call cycle management, budget management, store-level inventory management and relationship building.  Passion for cosmetics, loads of energy and a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a reputation for follow-through, and sales savvy are essential. Existing productive relationship with Sephora and Ulta desired.

 

Objective:

To generate retail sales and elevate partnerships in designated territory via the following:

  • Sales goal achievement.
  • Effective call cycle and budget management.
  • Business analysis, creative problem-solving and in-store inventory management.
  • Delivering impactful seasonal education trainings to our retail partners.
  • In store event planning and execution with a successful ROI.
  • Artistry and selling skills expertise.
  • Recruiting, onboarding and retaining sell-through-driven territory artistry team.
  • Building relationships with retail partners at store, district and regional level.
  • An ability to “be the brand” and act as a memorable ambassador at all touch points.

 

THIS IS HOW YOU WORK IT:

Responsibilities:

 

Retail Sales

  • Achieve seasonal sales goals as determined by the VP of Global Sales & Education, Executive Director, National Field Sales and Field Sales Director through store visits for training, events, business meetings, and through planning, communication and follow up.
  • Resiliently plan and strategize to achieve sales goals and execute corporate initiatives.
  • Create monthly calendar to optimally support focus doors and sales achievement.

 

Training & Events

  • Support, activate and drive all corporate education and event initiatives and programs as directed by Director, Education & Development and FSD.
  • Train all retail associates, inter-sell associates and freelancers on both Too Faced Cosmetic products and the appropriate selling skills needed to achieve sales goals.
  • Speak to training participants in brand voice, conveying brand mission, spirit and initiatives; bring the brand alive in a way that “sticks and sells”.
  • Work creatively with retail partners to effectively train and execute events as per retailer and brand expectations.
  • Track and monitor post training and event sales impact.
  • Initiate and develop relationships with key store EDU and management personnel to ensure ongoing support of brand education, event and sales initiatives.
  • Be the brand in-store through actively advocating and creating internal brand advocates, and by looking on-brand and differentiated from store staff.

 

Territory Management

  • Actively drive and support business in focus stores 4-5 days each week with an optional office day two times per month. Holiday schedule expectations to be determined annually.
  • Weekly review of sales in focus stores. Strategize and collaborate with FSD and store leadership to drive results. Prioritize daily activities to activate corporate and FSD directives in territory for optimal results.
  • Proactively create territory plans in accordance with brand best practices and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with Store Leadership, District Managers and other key influencers.
  • Recruit, onboard and retain best-in-class artistry team to support business in territory. Review and monitor freelancer performance making personnel adjustments as required.
  • Oversee freelancer scheduling and invoice submission to ensure proper budget management and utilization.
  • Communicate stock concerns to CSDs and FSDs daily as needed to support business.

 

 

Communication

  • Communicate with FSD at least once weekly via status call.  Prepare updates as directed by FSD.
  • Communicate regularly with all focus stores within territory.
  • Communicate weekly with Top 3 volume stores within territory.
  • Alert FSD of all out of stocks as they occur.
  • Communicate corporate initiatives, successes, press activity and in-store updates and animations well in a timely manner.
  • Complete and communicate special projects and analysis in a timely manner, as requested by FSD, CSD, Director, EDU & Development, Executive Director, NFS and VP, Global Sales & Education.

 

Budgets

  • Manage and adhere to all freelance and travel budgets as defined corporately and by FSD.

Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree preferred.
    • Requires 3 - 5 years experience in Cosmetic/Beauty retail including artistry, training, event, and business driving ability
    • Travel is more than 50%
    • Excellent written, oral and communication skills
    • Exceptional interpersonal and motivational skills
    • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Licensed driver with clean driving record
    • Goals and results oriented attitude
    • Punctuality
    • Creative sales driver with passion, energy and love of the beauty
